“Soul of Christ, sanctify me.” For centuries, the Anima Christi has offered comfort and courage to people seeking strength, protection and peace in Christ. This Soul of Christ prayer print presents the timeless words in soft, graceful lettering framed by delicate green watercolor leaves, calm and quietly beautiful.
Its closing lines speak gently of hope at life’s end, which makes this Catholic prayer of comfort especially meaningful in times of loss or change. It’s a peaceful reminder never to be parted from God, through every season of life.
It makes a heartfelt sympathy gift for a Catholic family grieving a loved one. It’s also a thoughtful ordination gift for a new priest or deacon, or a meaningful Easter gift for a friend who treasures traditional Catholic prayers.
Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, embolden me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within your wounds hide me.
Never permit me to be parted from you.
From the evil Enemy defend me.
At the hour of my death call me
and bid me come to you,
that with your Saints I may praise you
for age upon age.
Amen.
