This Nevertheless She Persisted quote print features the words, “She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted. So must we all.” The first three sentences come from Mitch McConnell’s 2017 remarks about Elizabeth Warren during a U.S. Senate debate, while “So must we all” was added by Hillary Clinton in a tweet responding to the moment. The phrase subsequently became widely used in women’s history and feminist movements.
The message is concise, determined, and instantly recognisable, making it a striking piece of inspirational wall art. Here, the words are paired with soft watercolor-style sunflowers and botanical flowers, creating a balance between strength and femininity. It works beautifully as women’s empowerment decor, feminist wall art, or an inspirational statement in a bedroom, office, reading nook, or creative workspace.
A meaningful gift for a daughter, sister, mother, friend, graduate, or woman starting a new chapter. It suits birthdays, graduations, International Women’s Day, Women’s History Month, or simply as an encouragement gift for someone who is facing a challenge and continuing forward. Available framed or unframed.
