Maya Angelou's Mother, A Cradle to Hold Me is a heartfelt thank you from a grown child to the woman who raised them. This Maya Angelou poem print captures the whole journey, from the closeness of early childhood to the stubborn teenage years and, finally, the deep gratitude that comes with growing up.
It's one of the most moving poems about mothers ever written, and many people say it feels as though it was written about their own mum. Set in simple typewriter-style lettering, this mother poem print lets every word speak for itself.
It makes a beautiful Mother's Day gift that says everything you may have struggled to put into words. It's also a meaningful birthday gift for mum, or a touching mother of the bride gift to give on the wedding morning, a moment when thanking her for everything feels just right.
